By using letbe.art you agree to these terms. They are written to be read, not to be avoided.
What letbe.art is
letbe.art is a free, publicly accessible directory of physical art galleries around the world. It is operated as an independent project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any gallery listed on the site.
The directory contains gallery names, addresses, contact details, and descriptive information compiled from public sources including OpenStreetMap, gallery websites, and editorial research. The selection, curation, tagging, and descriptions represent our own original work.
Permitted use
You are welcome to browse, search, and use letbe.art for personal, non-commercial purposes — finding galleries to visit, researching where to submit work, planning trips, or simply exploring the art world geographically.
You may share links to individual gallery pages or to the site generally. You may quote brief excerpts for editorial or journalistic purposes with attribution to letbe.art.
What is not permitted
The following uses are prohibited without prior written permission:
- Automated scraping, crawling, or bulk downloading of gallery data by any means
- Reproducing, redistributing, or republishing the directory dataset or any substantial portion of it
- Using gallery data for commercial purposes, including training machine learning models
- Presenting letbe.art data as your own original work without attribution
- Any use that misrepresents the source or accuracy of the information
The curated database — including descriptions, tagging, and editorial selections — is the intellectual property of letbe.art. Underlying factual data such as gallery names, addresses, and publicly listed contact details remains the property of the respective galleries. The OpenStreetMap geodata is used under the Open Database Licence (ODbL).
Gallery listings
Any gallery listed on letbe.art may request a correction, update, or removal of their listing at any time. We will act on removal requests within 30 days and on correction requests within 48 hours. Contact us at info@letbe.art or via the contact page.
Listing on letbe.art does not imply endorsement, partnership, or any commercial relationship. We do not accept payment for listings.
Accuracy
We make every reasonable effort to keep information accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that all details are correct at the time of your visit. Gallery hours, contact details, and programming change frequently. Always confirm directly with a gallery before visiting.
Privacy
letbe.art uses Plausible Analytics — a privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics tool. No personal data is collected, no cookies are set, and no tracking pixels are used. No banner is required because no consent is needed.
If you create an account, your email address is stored securely via Supabase and is used only to authenticate your session and associate your saved pins. It is not shared with third parties.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site evolves. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
